A True Life Story Worth Reading With Abundant Lessons To Be Learnt.
Goose pimples all over my body !

True Life story! Unbelievable!! I am still imagining honestly!! One or two persons can learn a lesson from here !!

I want to share my story with you so that young girls of these days will learn from it. Desperation doesn't pay and being on a fast lane can kill easily. I am sharing this my story with a lot of confidence. I am 44 years  this year and I am single, adopted 2 girl last three years and they are 9 and 6 years old now. I was on a fast lane and it was something I won't want for my enemy. If not for God and for how my parents rushed me to churches, I will be dead by now.

When I was in school, I had no single friend, I graduated with 2:1 and my life changed during youth service, I got there, I made friends, I made friends who I think are as skillful as I am, we clubbed, we partied, we did all to enjoy our service, we passed out. I was dating one married man as of then. He gave me money, gave me all I want, his wife started threatening and I stopped. I got another married man, he sleeps with me without condom, saying he hates it, I agreed, he was giving me the cash, I was eating but along the line, he broke up with me because he saw my friend and they got along, I felt bad, warned him to stop and he refused, so I cut off from them. I wasn't working but I was living in a three bedroom flat and driving a car. I trained my younger brother at the university, money wasn't my problem, along the line, everything seems to be kept on hold, if I call my man friends, they will be acting busy, I got so tensed because the one that promised to buy me car on my birthday wasn't calling again, tried to get to him no way, that was when one of my friend took me to a herbalist who did some charms with my menstrual pad and said no matter who the man is, he will be at my feet begging, it worked as he said, not only did he buy the car, he bought me a house along with it . I was playing with the devil and thought it wouldn't back fire.

I kept going to the man for many charms, and when I clocked 32, I wanted to settle down, i told baba to give me charms for marriage, that their is a young guy on my street, that I want him to start looking my way. That was when this baba started sleeping with me, telling me his sperm is just what I need to get this guy, I was so naive that I agreed . He sleeps with me pours his sperm and anytime he calls me, that is what we do. Oh my story is too dirty. We were 4 friends and we all do the same thing. 2 are married, holding their husbands with charms, my own grew bad because baba was sleeping with me, but that baba is dead, the story was that he was stoned to death by villagers, so for now I don't how their marriage is fairing because, I have cut all ties with them.

That baba slept with me for close to 11months, and always on the 9 th -15th of every month, his charms to get this guy worked, later he traveled out of the country , but he never touched me for a second, didn't contact me again. I went back to the man to tell him what is happening to me and the guy has left me that was when I heard of his death. Things started happening to me. Once any month clock 9th my body starts smelling and my urine contains pus same as my poo poo. I can't go out of my apartment, my friends are always there to help me. We did this for three months till my younger brother met me one day, he came to my house without informing me and hoping it was my friends, but when I opened it was my brother, the smell he couldn't contain it, he was forced to leave my house and I begged him not to tell my mother but he went and opened up to my parents and they came to visit me. My parents came on the 15 th when the smell is almost fading off , so they felt my brother was lieing. It started getting worse 2011 and I started losing my friends. Reason my friends  never felt what I was feeling was that baba never slept with them, but he gave them charm, one is dead and 2 that are married are childless.

When I couldn't bear the smell anymore, I confided in my mother and she started looking for a solution, she couldn't hide it from my father and that was how my father came to know about my predicament and we decided to go the traditional way. The man we went to, said I slept with a pussy cat and it is very hard to undo what has been done, that I should be coming to him once it's 8 th of every month to be helping me with some medicine to flush the pus, that is what is making my body smell. We did that for 5 months, it wasn't comfortable with me and I went to the white garment church, they tried, night mares upon night mares, I fought battles , woke up with cane marks, blood stains , a lot . My bed looks like a wrestling ground at night.

I got tired of sleeping at night and took to sleeping during the day because at night I can't sleep. Things started walking around in my tommy, we went back to one man, he said its evil eggs, I almost took my life, decided to end it once and for all. Still yet it didn't work and 2013 March, I started noticing I do wake up looking used by someone, my pants will be on my body but in the morning, it will be off, if I go to clean, I will see white substances. I tried and the substance kept coming and I was pushed to go speak to my pastor, she took me to a senior pastor and that was where my healing started . My story is a long one. I was taken to different churches for deliverance, some days I will appear dead and will be wandering about in my dreams and I will wake up breathing so hard as if I am being strangled. I fought wars, unseen wars, it was in one of the prayers that they told me my womb was taken away and I should go adopt and train as many children as I can. I am planning to adopt another. I have adopted 2 girls, planning to adopt a boy.

That has been my story, I see a lot of desperate young girls everywhere, I am still healing, the pus comes out now but in a little amount, I run a saloon and a boutique, I chose that because of my illment, because of how it comes . It hasn't been easy but God has forgiven me and is healing me gradually and I am grateful. Please keep warning the young girls out there that life should be taken one step at a time, every body should slow down and let God pilot them to their destiny, please keep me identity hidden, God bless you madam.

The Lost Love
The Lost Love

To the woman ( My Lost Love ) who will never see my worth I will not be there for you ( My Lost Love ) anymore when you are bored.  No more midnight calls and sweet text messages. You ( My Lost Love ) will not hear my sleepy voice again when you ( My Lost Love ) call me at midnight. While I am fast asleep. I will not beg you ( My Lost Love ) anymore to listen to what am I saying because it is so boring for you ( My Lost Love ). Some of your stories are dull too but I enjoyed every bit of it. You ( My Lost Love ) will never hear me laugh again while you ( My Lost Love ) crack your silly jokes. Yes, I will not be there for you ( My Lost Love ) anymore.

Just so you ( My Lost Love ) know, it is so hard for me to do this. I have spent many nights overthinking on how to stop thinking about you ( My Lost Love ). I have shed bucket of tears every time you ( My Lost Love ) made me feel so disliked. I have wrote lots of poems just to express my pain of being ignored by you ( My Lost Love ) . But I want you ( My Lost Love ) to know that it ends here and right now. ( I know it is not the end). No more overthinking, no more tears every night, and for my future poems, they will not be about you ( My Lost Love ) anymore. I am letting my feelings go because it is slowly killing my soul.

I am losing my happiness that is used to burn so brightly inside me. Thank you ( My Lost Love ) for making me realize that I deserve better. Thank you ( My Lost Love ) for making me question my self-worth, I am working on it. Thank you ( My Lost Love ) for letting me enter your life even if it is just the outermost layer while I have let you ( My Lost Love ) touch my core. But the one thing I have wanted to thank you ( My Lost Love ) the most is you ( My Lost Love ) triggered the poet in me, so thank you ( My Lost Love ) for the last time, I want to say sorry for being so clingy and needy, sorry if I assumed that you ( My Lost Love ) like talking to me every time that is why I called you ( My Lost Love ) every chance I have got. Sorry if I have fell too deep in this pool of emotion, I am so sorry.

Someday, I know someone will enter my life and loves being in it. Someone will enjoy listening to my stories about the books I have read and the songs I did like. Someone will call me just to know how is my day going and will cheer me up if it is not so well. Someone will text me good morning and good night with a smiley. Someone will appreciate my poems and beg me to make more. It is so heartbreaking that you ( My Lost Love ) never did but someday, I know someone will see my worth. So good bye my Lost Love.

Divorce Procedure In Igbo Land And The Significance Of The Bride Price [ Izuchi'ahia Nwanyi ]

Divorce Procedure In Igbo Land And The Significance Of The Bride Price [ Izuchi'ahia Nwanyi ]
Divorce Procedure In Igbo Land And The Significance Of The Bride Price [ Izuchi'ahia Nwanyi ]

When a woman decides to get a divorce from her husband for any reason whatsoever in the Igbo land of Nigeria, tradition demands that she performs some certain rites of passage known as Izuchi'ahia Nwanyi (basically means " Returning Of Bride Price " ).

For the purpose of these rites, the kin of both parties convene at the residence of the woman's Father. Just as they did during the Igbankwu ( Wedding ). At this gathering, the woman's family is required to entertain her husband's people with kola, wine, and food. The expenses of this party is to be fully paid for by the woman's family. This is done as a form of payback to the husband and his family for all they spent during the Igbankwu.

At the end of this occasion, the woman's Father (or whoever it was that her bride price was payed to) then returns the exact amount of money he received as his daughter's bride price back to her husband.
This is the most important part of the ceremony. After that, the bond between husband and wife is then considered severed.

If the husband refuses to accept this refund, the case is then taken up to the council of Ndi Ichie who then preside over the matter and force the man to accept his money back. In recent times, this custom is now carried out in the law court; in cases of communities with no active council of Ndi Ichie.

There is no such thing as a custody battle during or after the divorce. The children remain with their father. Unless the man didn't pay the woman's bride price before marrying her. In which case, the children belong to the woman's Father. This is because a woman has no right to ownership of life. Even her own life does not belong to her. She either belongs to her father or her husband.

According to the Igbo tradition, if these procedures are not followed to the latter, the divorce is not recognized or pronounced legal. Hence, any child or children born by the woman before this custom is totally fulfilled still belongs to the man by law; regardless if he fathered them or not. The law still applies even if they are not living together anymore.

Unless this tradition is obeyed, she remains the man's wife until death. Now remind me again how the payment of bride price isn't about selling women.

Pandemonium In The Air [A True Life Biafran Story].

Pandemonium In The Air [A True Life Biafran Story].
Pandemonium In The Air [A True Life Biafran Story].
There was pandemonium in the air. Our village was awakened that morning not by the cock crow, but by the sounds of mortars and gunshots in the distance, as our soldiers fought hard to hold Obollo Afor. There had been rumors of the army's advancement. We heard the broadcast on papa's old radio. They had crossed into Enugu and were marching into Nsukka through Agu-Echara. My older brother Ezeh was taken by the Biafran army some weeks ago when the army came for volunteers. He was barely 15 years old.

The Fulani soldiers did not care if you were young or old, sick or healthy, they killed indiscriminately. So putting machetes and rifles in the hands of teenagers seemed like a lesser evil. Desperate times, desperate measures. Cries of " Ndi Ugwu Abia Nu O! " rent the air as families scampered for safety. My mother tied my baby sister on her back with a shawl and dragged me along as we ran for safety. Papa had gone hunting early that morning, so mama had to lead the family on his behalf.

My stepmother carried her steaming pot of soup on her head. " If we are going to die, at least let us meet the gods on a full stomach, " she told mama, as she ran along with my stepbrothers. Her sense of humor survived the most difficult times. We headed for the narrow bush path that led to the great forest. That had always been our community's shelter in times of war since time immemorial. It was rumored that the boundary between the land of the living and the spirits lay therein and the spirits protected all who sought asylum with them.

We met other families on the same path. Mama asked me to look out for papa. " Chukwuemeka! " " Chukwuemeka! " I heard him call in the distance. I still wonder how I was able to recognize papa's voice in the midst of so many people and so much chaos. I told mama that I could hear papa calling my name. We traced the direction his voice was coming from until we found him. Papa took us back, away from the crowd. He had been following the war and knew how the Nigerian army attacked. The jet fighters were always on a lookout for crowds. A busy marketplace, a community gathering, a family going to farm...

Wherever they saw a cluster of people, they dropped their bombs. We headed for our farmland. The one papa rarely took us to, the one with huts for farmhands to sleep in. That was where papa took us. We lived there, deep in the jungle for days while the battle raged on. We could never get used to the sound of " Ogbunigwe "; the famous weapon of Biafran engineering. It made the earth shake, birds scatter and babies cry. Papa stood guard all night. With his hunting rifle and his cutlass, he watched over us. There we hid, escaping the destruction of our home, not knowing when the Hausa/Fulani army would come and kill us all or when a jet fighter would drop a bomb on us. I thought about Ezeh. How was he holding up? How many battles had he fought? I wondered if he was still alive. I hoped he was. I prayed for his safe return.

Stories of the Nigerian civil war in the words of my father, Cosmas Chukwuemeka Ezeh.
PS: Ezeh never came home and his body was never found. His fate remains a mystery till this day.

The Reasons Why Men Always Ask You For Your Red Berry.

Posted by with No comments
The Reasons Why Men Always Ask You For Your Red Berry.
The Reasons Why Men Always Ask You For Your Red Berry.
I want to use this medium to change some ladies' mindset today. I am going to be real and down to earth as possible with this article. Presently, the way some ladies complain about men always asking them for their Red Berry really baffles me.
>>> Why red berry, why not marriage proposal?
>>> Why do men always want to sleep with you?
>>> Why is it that every single guy who asks you out is always hitting you for your red berry?
>>> Why won't they marry you unless they have a taste of the forbidden fruit?
The above are questions that some ladies might figure out asking themselves, and I have found out some reasons below that might be the cause. Below are some of The Reasons Why Men Always Ask You For Your Red Berry:

Check Your Dressing and Make Sure It Is Right The Reasons Why Men Always Ask You For Your Red Berry.
Check Your Dressing and Make Sure It Is Right
1. Check Your Dressing and Make Sure It Is Right.
To a female, the female body means nothing to her. You are used to seeing your breasts and every soft body part all your life since you were a child. It does not mean a thing to you but to guys, it means the universe! I know you will find it hard to believe. indeed, men are moved by sight. So, wearing arm-less (i.e. exposing your shaved armpit and upper arm) can easily turn a man on, not to talk of the low neckline exposing the cleavage of your breasts. Tight trousers, tights (i.e. pants hose) which
shows the shape of your buttock, mini and micro mini skirts exposing your thigh all can make a man go wild on the sight of it. So I will advise you to better face reality now and mind the way you dress because the way you dress is the way you will be addressed.

Learn How To Sit Properly The Reasons Why Men Always Ask You For Your Red Berry.
Learn How To Sit Properly
2. Learn How To Sit Properly.
It is obvious that some ladies don't know how to sit. Especially the skirt wearing ladies. You sit in front of a guy and open your laps, what do you want him to see? A trance? Yeah, he saw a lot of it! So I will urge you to always close your thigh when you are sitting whether in front of a guy or not it is just a good practice. Not sitting very well can become a habit and follow you around everywhere you go. And you wonder why all the guys around want to have a taste of your red berry and sleep with you!

You Touch Men A Lot The Reasons Why Men Always Ask You For Your Red Berry.
You Touch Men A Lot
3.You Touch Men A Lot.
It is universally accepted that ladies who touch, hug and wrap themselves around guys are sexual magnets to sexually immature guys. So if I may ask, why are you always hugging and pecking, for what? Can't you talk without touching, holding and hugging someone, hmmm? Some ladies even sit on their friend's lap and say it does not matter, I tell you it really matters. You might say He is just a cool guy. He would soon be a lover in bed in a twinkle of an eye. So learn to control your emotions around the opposite gender. Must you hug? My dear ladies and you need to be careful, or else you end up in the bed and you will be a story tale in their midst, so use your head.

Calling Men Pet Names The Reasons Why Men Always Ask You For Your Red Berry.
Calling Men Pet Names
4. Calling Men Pet Names
It is so common how some people just throw around the word "dear" as if it is a second language! Why would you give all the guys in your life pet names? You say, "thanks, dear", "okay sweetie", "see you dearie", "bye love", etc., you are looking for serious trouble I tell you, young woman. Words like such easily turn a man on if you don't know.

You Praise Men Too Much The Reasons Why Men Always Ask You For Your Red Berry.
You Praise Men Too Much
5. You Praise Men Too Much
This should not be a problem at all but experience has taught a lot that men are attracted and eventually turned on by women who praise them silly! You can compliment men if you want to but be discreet and casual about it as much as you can. Do not over do anything. So telling a guy, "whao! what a nice mustache you've got!" or "that muscle on your arm can make any lady go crazy for you" is indirectly telling him you like his body and would not mind if he sleeps with you.

You Post Seductive Pictures On The Social Media The Reasons Why Men Always Ask You For Your Red Berry.
You Post Seductive Pictures On The Social Media

6. You Post Seductive Pictures On The Social Media.
This is what is really trending at this point in time if I may say. When I see the way some ladies pose on Facebook and other social media, I wonder what they are really looking for. Why pouting? Do you want him to kiss you? Why turn your buttock to the camera? Do you want him to see how big it is? Why focus on your chest? Do you want him to know you have firm breasts? What is the purpose of the purpose of the pictures you are posting? I really get worried when I see these pictures. You can't have a positive comment on such post.

You Sleep At Your Fiance's House The Reasons Why Men Always Ask You For Your Red Berry.

7. You Sleep At Your Fiance's House
So if I may ask you, young lady, Why are you in a hurry to sleep under the same roof with a man? Why are you in a hurry? What is your problem? Kai, some ladies cannot just wait for a man to propose. They pack their bags and move to his house immediately as if it is a birthright. For what?
And when that guy gets tired of the making love to you, he sends you packing away. Some do not even expect their man to ask for the red berry again, Aaah young lady? in fact, show me a monkey who does not jump at every sight of a banana. You will be addressed the way you dress. If they are always asking you for your red berry, then check what is wrong with yourself and fix it fast.

Tipping Point - By Sunny Arome
Oh friendship, where do you lead?
Do thy plans include making me a carcass for the vultures to feed on?
Do you ponder on ways to squeeze breath out of me?
Does your heart dig deep into dark realms where you imagine my body parts scattered across the continents of the world?

Well, I know you would beg to differ but…Perhaps a little tickling of your memory will suffice.

Can you remember how sleep drained from your eyes at midnight, Christmas Eve and you gazed at me as I lay slumbering, your mind plunged into realms where you imagined using a twist drill to bore holes in my skull, you also imagined tying me as I slept and casting my feet in concrete…you smiled as you threw me into the Mediterranean Sea in your mind… you smiled scornfully?

Don’t try to lie to me, I know you well enough…the world says we’re inseparable coz they see the supposed good deeds you display as we socialize, they say, “these lads are the definition of true friendship.” But these people are like goats who see special care given to their fat kindred, they say, “these chaps are lead to eat the sumptuous and greenest grasses while we are left to toil with stubborn grasses” but they do not know that their fat chaps are being prepared for slaughtering. They are unaware of the fate that would soon befall them.

Oh friendship, what good can come out of your belly?
The streets light up with songs of praise for you but you are a dunghill on the inside, an infectious disease that if let to fester will reach a point where death takes effect and successively becomes a doorway to further torture.

You say great and beautiful things but your heart disagrees. You curse and curse and curse even harder, saying things that add no value to others but instead sucks the life out of people.

People plunge into debt, some even die and you make a jest of them, you weep for joy but you come like a friend indeed and pretend to care. You say you wish you could lessen their pain but instead your itchy hands want to tear their bereaved hearts to pieces.

Oh friendship, what can you offer?
Do you muse on ways to drain blood out of my veins as you idly lay on your King size bed?
Does your heart nurse hatred in its loins, do you easefully submerge yourself in dark waters, places of loneness where evil lurks and often strives to take complete hold of you?
Or does your heart seldom want the best for me?

Are there scarce moments where you look at me and love envelopes your heart completely, moments where you look to the stars and see me shining alongside them, times where you look at the brightness of the morning and remember my pleasant smile?

I wonder If such times do exist but if they do, then I urge you to hold them in high regard, coz my heart has for long considered you a worm to be removed and thrown into blazing fire but if perhaps there is a minute part of you that is good, then I reckon you can one day draw light from your good memories.

Oh friendship, what is your end?
Are you all that I’ve grown to believe you are, or could you possibly be a potential bundle of Joy?
Can you ever be ready to prove me wrong and right your wrongs?
Is it possible that you now revel in trying to bring happiness to my plunged heart, are you a growing source of strength for the hapless?

Well, whatever you think, whatever you cogitate. Whatever you ponder on, whatever you cerebrate.

Remember, oh friendship that if you can be true, you will be invincible, and no matter the extent of fall, you will rise up again but before then… Dear friendship, we must part ways because your end for me is DOOM.

“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable. If anything is excellent or praiseworthy, think about such things.”
Philippians 4:8 (NIV).

A Great Country - By Sunny Arome

A Great Country - By Sunny Arome
A Great Country - By Sunny Arome

There was a country where we foresaw more than half of a yellow sun, where we believed things would never fall apart no matter the paleness of the purple hibiscus, no matter how tight the thing, bonds around our necks were.

There was a country where hope brought about ease in the land, where a mother’s choice was held paramount and even if a chap claimed to be an Americanah, he would fall to order when the Judge and Jury question his identity.

There was a country where petals of blood were seen and not ignored, where cases of husbands going mad were dealt with forthwith, where men of the people took a stand against pride, prejudice and bore arrows from the gods for their people.

There was a country where the beautiful ones were cradled in due season, where the people never walked in darkness and old men never went to the sea….where merchants came from Venice and rich men came from Babylon. A country where people held journeying to the heart of the sea in search of big fish in high esteem and abhorred stooping low to conquer scrooges, a land where the young ladies preferred their native names to names like “Serena” and the Lordships were more concerned about justice than gold rings.

There really was a country where even the longest rides were pleasurable and anthills graced the savannah, a land where animals stayed on farms and deal brokers were incorruptible judges in echoey hard times….there was and there will be A Great Country.

Yes! Children Are Gift From God, Don't Misunderstand

Yes! Children Are Gift From God, Don't Misunderstand

I often shudder when I hear people referring to children as " Riches " from God in an attempt to show what they have been successful at in life. Some people have this delusion that if they cannot be successful at anything else in life, getting married and filling the earth with their DNA is an equivalent. That is absolutely Wrong!

At the barber shop this evening I heard some random guy talking. He claimed to be better off than his rich younger brother because even though his brother has a lot of money, he only has two daughters. He on the other hand may not have any money but he has seven children three of them boys! And guess what? His wife is still expecting! In conclusion, he is really proud of himself and is convinced that he is way more successful in life than his brother.

The kids are out of school, but it does not matter because the girls will soon be old enough to get married. Then he will be paid a handsome fee as bride price for all four of them or five. Then they will become another man's problem. The boys will learn some craft or trade or whatever. They will find a way. Men always do. I literally cannot hide my disgust right now. The fact that people who think like this still walk this earth sickens me.

Having a bunch of kids is not a definition of success! Rats and cockroaches have that much success too and you do not see them bragging about it. People need to understand that there is more to being a parent than being an excellent sperm donor and an ever willing surrogate mother. The real success is taking care of your kids and giving them a fair shot at a comfortable life. Anything short of that is barbarism take it or leave it.

Stop bringing children you cannot afford to take care of into this world with nothing more than the off chance that some of them might turn out okay, it is totally wrong! Stop and have a rethink once more.

Marriage And The African Girl Child ( Love Or Age ) - True Fact

Marriage And The African Girl Child ( Love Or Age ) - True Fact

At 17 years or age I fell in love for the second time, and to the best of my knowledge, she was in love with me too, but there was a problem we were both born in the same year. Somehow, this was a big problem for her. I could not get her to ignore the age bracket thing, eventually, she broke up with me. Her breakup speech went thus... " Jude, this relationship is pointless. There can be no future for us together because we are age mates. We cannot get married, I need an older man in my life; someone who can make me a wife ".

That was by far the most ridiculous break up I have had my entire life. It still amuses me sometimes especially when I think about it. Why was marriage so important to this teenage girl barely out of secondary school? And why must it be an older man? These were questions popping out my brain. Welcome to the life of the African girl child.

The African girl child is brought up her whole life for one purpose only, to be a " Wife ". From the moment she draws her first breath, she is taught the etiquettes of a proper ' Wife Material ' ( whatever the hell that means ). Everything she does, all the choices she makes, is all directed to this singular purpose. To be a good housewife.

Her greatest achievement in life is " Marriage ". Her sole purpose of existence is to compliment a man. Her life is not fulfilled if someone does not make her an agent of procreation. She is so preoccupied with thoughts of matrimony that she barely has any space left in her head for anything else. No matter how many doctorate degrees she bags, it is all vanity if there isn't a ' Mrs ' on the prefix of her name.

I have heard African parents time and again, say to their little daughters when they misbehave, " Is this how you will behave when you get to your husband's house? ", little girls not older than 7 or 8 years of age. Is that really all the African girl child is good for? Was she born only to clean, cook and bear children for the man? Why is so much of our culture dedicated to objectifying women?

We can talk about the ills of misogyny, bride price, child brides, domestic violence and paedophilia against the girl child all we like but if the basic mentality of the African girl child is not improved upon, we are barely wasting our time.
