Google Added New Antivirus Features To Chrome For Windows Operating System (OS)
Google just of recent, has introduced three new changes to the Chrome Browser for Windows to basically improve the browser's malware detection and removal capabilities. The company Google is actually targeting malware and malicious extensions that simply modify search results to redirect users to unintended pages, inject ads, and lock users on ad-filled sites.

Morealso, the new security features for the Chrome Browser on Windows are an addition to existing defenses, such as Safe Browsing warnings for pages known to deliver malware on the world wide web. Also, Google is now seriously clamping down on Chrome Browser extensions that basically change user settings, such as the default search engine. The Chrome Browser will automatically detect when an unauthorized change is made to it and offers to restore the original settings as expected.

Furthermore, Google has also redesigned the Chrome Browser's Cleanup feature which offers a simple shortcut to restoring the Chrome Browser's default settings after an infection is sensed. The Chrome Browser will quickly show an alert when the browser detects unwanted software and offers a vital way to remove it immediately. Chrome Browser users have previously been able to use the standalone Chrome Cleanup Tool to remove harmful software but it is not enough. So Google says it is making provision on redesigning the alerts to make it easier to see what software will be removed when a trigger is made.

The Chrome Browser Cleanup has also rapidly gained a malware detection engine from a well-known antivirus firm called ESET, which works hand-in-hand with Chrome's sandbox technology. This dual integration of the new "sandboxed engine" does not replace antivirus on Windows operating system as it only targets and removes software that mainly violates Google's unwanted software policy. However, the Google's unwanted software policy covers a variety of bad behaviors, from deceptive installs to spyware. Morealso it means that the Chrome Browser can detect and remove more unwanted software than previously.

Finally, Google estimates that the newly implemented security features will in turn help "tens of millions" of the Chrome Browser users clear up security problems in the next few days, so remember to keep a watch out and also keep your Chrome Browser updated to enjoy these newly added antivirus features for the Chrome Browser.
